The Aruna Project

A few years ago, founder Ryan Berg found himself in India with heart breaking over the realities of what he was witnessing. A labor of love, the Aruna Project was born as a way to unite people who love to run, support social justice, and connect with others who share a heart to see women find healing. They work with individuals in the U.S. to host 5k races that raise awareness. Funds that are invested in the restoration and healing for women survivors of exploitation.

Next steps for The Aruna Project: They're hoping to raise more funds to support the employment of women survivors in India and launch an online store selling products handmade by survivors.

  • The Good Factor: The Aruna Project's mission is to inspire communities to act and engage with each other to eradicate modern day slavery and also support the restoration of our sisters in India who want to overcome the traumatic experiences of being exploited.

Runners who love fashion - this organization is for you! Host a 5k and you’ll help Aruna jump several steps towards employing more women in India to create clothing and accessories for their store set to launch soon.
