The thing about anti-trafficking causes is that people immediately want to jump in and help. We love that! Megan approached us in February about how she could get involved with the bonJOY team, and after listening to her skills, her heart, and her enthusiasm, we found a place to put her to work. So, Megan will be helping keep us in line with budgeting and will also be heading up our Advisory Board. We appreciate her fresh eyes and enthusiasm for the cause – her business background and non-profit expertise will be a nice boon to our little team. She'll be in Latvia until June doing some on-the-scenes work with an anti-trafficking agency... how cool is that? She'll share more on that when she returns.
Without further ado, here's an introduction to Megan:
... has a heart for helping those in need
… spends as much time as possible at the ocean
… loves to exercise – running, pilates, yoga, paddleboarding, you name it!
… lives in Beverly, MA
Hello! I’m so honored to be working with Esther and Julie on this exciting adventure. I am a girl who loves fashion, beauty, and jewelry but who also has a true desire to help those impacted by trafficking. bonJOY is the intersection of all of these and it made perfect sense for me to get involved. I have a business background and non-profit expertise that I plan to use while at bonJOY. I have been involved with the project management and planning of the UN GIFT Box in Boston as well as fundraising at Amirah, a safe house for trafficked women. When I am not working towards this passion, I am happiest when I’m outside trail running sunshine and fresh air are so good for my soul!
If you, too, have mad skills and a great big heart, shoot us an email at email@example.com and together we'll evaluate how we can team up. We're especially looking for people to help with accounting, graphic design, art, and writing guest blog posts.
