I have found that when searching for fair trade items, it is really easy to find jewelry, accessories, coffee, and chocolate. But those gifts only go so far so this year I set out to find brands that had a wider variety of things to offer, as well as giving me ideas for some of the men in my life!
1. Fair Spirits ::: Rum ::: price varies by distributer
My family–in–law does an alcohol gift exchange and this is what I will be purchasing for that! This spirits line is Fair Trade Certified.
2. Boll & Branch ::: Cable Knit Baby Blanket ::: $50.00
Love Boll & Branch so much, they have a variety of things including sheets, towels and knit wear! Also Fair Trade Certified.
3. Amazig Leathers ::: Camera Strap ::: $34.00
Made in Morocco by incredibly talented artisans, Amazig Leathers products are made from vegetable tanned leather. They currently employ 13 artisans and are looking forward to expanding! Everyone involved in the production line is paid a fair and living wage.
4. Yellow Leaf ::: Vineyard Haven Hammock ::: $195.00
Yellow Leaf has a Made in a Free World certification and is making a positive impact by creating ethical jobs. Their hammocks are colorful and make a great gift!
5. Parker Clay ::: Billfold Wallet ::: $48.00
Artisans in Ethiopia make all Parker Clay products. Their leather goods are beautiful and I will definitely be getting some gifts here this season.
6. Nisolo Shoes ::: Almond Wedge ::: $168.00
Beautiful shoes made for both men and women. Nisolo prides themselves on transparency and pay their workers above fair trade wages.
7. Roma Boots ::: Emma Black ::: $89.00
Giving poverty the boot through a buy one give one set up!
