Hello from the bonJOY team! We are two “artpreneurs” – Esther is a photographer and Julie is a copywriter & designer – who came together at the uncommon intersection of social justice and fashion. We have about six years combined experience serving women survivors, behind the scenes and in person. Our hope is to use our unique combination of creativity, desire for social justice, and savvy to continue to serve them on a larger scale – which we are poised to do by supporting the business and increasing the audience of organizations doing life-changing work so that their programs can flourish and positively impact more women.

Aloha! I'm just so excited for bonJOY and the good that can be done through this project. I recently graduated with a master's degree in mental health counseling and have about five years of experience working with marginalized populations mostly exploitation and trafficking (my favorite project was with the Amirah safe house), domestic violence, and care for the elderly. As the originator of the bonJOY concept, my passion and dream is to be able to use my creativity and heart for social justice to help women rebuild their lives and thrive. When I'm not working on bonJOY, you will find me creating a delicious, culinary masterpiece for my adorable husband, blowing raspberries with my baby girl, dabbling in fashion photography, or figuring out ways to persuade our landlord to let us get a puppy.
